BEYOND THE SCALE
When I tell people I’m a non-weight based dietitian, I am often met with a look of confusion. Society tells us that we need to be hyper-focused on numbers, thinness ideals and “healthy” eating, but there’s a discrepancy among our health professionals as to just what “healthy” eating means. For those of us who are anti-diet, non-weight based clinicians, we know that weight does not define our worth and that following our body's regulatory cues such as hunger and fullness, offers much more in the way of reduced stress, body satisfaction and improved cellular function. The best part is that previous and emerging research support the theory. So know that it’s okay to tell the dietitian what you’re really eating. I can guarantee you, we’re often eating it too!

Nutrition counseling is not a one-size-fits-all approach to health and wellness. Our packages are made to meet varying degrees of readiness and guidance. While we offer bundled services, sessions can be combined or spread out over time to meet your individual needs.
